Whether you are an individual working in the hairdressing industry or you own a salon employing junior staff, you can gain funding to access free NVQ level 2 and 3 hairdressing courses at the Andrew Price Academy.
The Andrew Price Academy became a City and Guilds accredited centre in 1989 and has helped hundreds of apprentices gain their professional NVQ hairdressing qualifications.
What’s more, as part of the course our students receive additional skills to make them highly employable. They will learn about service and salon etiquette as well as having the opportunity to work with Andrew Price himself for a day on the shop floor.
What is a Modern Apprenticeship?
Modern Apprenticeships are employment-based learning programmes for employed learners aged 16 and above, to NVQ Level 3. Learners follow a framework developed by local government which specifies their learning, including key skills. Under-taking your Modern Apprenticeship at The Academy ensures that you not only gain your recognised qualifications, but exceptional hairdressing skills and the ability to succeed in this vibrant industry.

- Description – work based learning/ about Modern Apprenticeship

Who is eligible?
Anyone who is aged 16 or over living in Wales and is currently employed within a salon.
